Lawrence Saves Energy
As the City of Lawrence continues to recover from the gas explosions of 2018, the City is launching the Lawrence Saves Energy program to help residents access thousands of dollars to upgrade their homes and buildings and reduce their energy bills, all at no-cost.
Whether you rent or own your unit, if you pay a utility bill, you are eligible to participate. Data shows that while 20% of eligible homes in neighboring Andover and North Andover have taken advantage of enhanced incentives for energy efficiency after the gas disaster, only 6% of Lawrence homes have been improved.[1]
To close this gap, we are pleased to announce that this year, the City is working with the 501(c)3 nonprofit All In Energy to connect residents living in buildings with 1-4 units to no-cost home energy assessments and upgrades available through Mass Save.
This is an important opportunity for all of us to work together to ensure that Lawrence residents are receiving the full benefits of the statewide Mass Save® program, which is funded through an “energy efficiency” charge on your monthly utility bills and administered by your electric and natural gas provicers.
Renters, homeowners and landlords in buildings with 1-4 units can get started by signing up for no-cost Home Energy Assessment. An Energy Specialist will do a complete checkup of your home, install eligible instant savings measures at no-cost, and recommend ways you can use less energy, save money, and make your home more comfortable. The statewide MassSave program is funded by the "energy efficiency" charge on your utility bill and administered by your electric and natural gas providers. We want to help you access the benefits you already pay for!
